Merlion 50th Anniversary: doob Bean Bags x Merli

In September 2022, doob Bean Bags collaborated with the Singapore Tourism Board to create a special edition tote bag, the Merli totesta’. This tote bag is made in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the iconic Singapore Merlion and is available exclusively at mrphy and Design Orchard. The Merli totesta’ tote bag is not just a regular tote bag; it is a unique creation made from bean bag offcuts to reduce wastage and promote environmental sustainability.

Merli, short for Merlion, is reimagined from the mythical creature of Singapore. Merli brings the Passion Made Possible with his human-like personality and characteristics. Merli is energetic, outgoing, resourceful, determined, optimistic, and down-to-earth. His hobbies include bringing friends and visitors around, showing the best and most interesting parts of Singapore, and sharing his passion for Singapore with the world. Fun fact, Merli’s favourite food is kaya toast!
