The doob Story: Comfort Evolving

 

It all began in 2010, with a simple idea: elevate the humble bean bag. We envisioned furniture that wasn't just functional, but aesthetically pleasing and built to last. We set out to create bean bags that seamlessly complemented any home, using the finest materials – premium fabrics, robust zippers, and dependable threads.

 

Safety was paramount too. That's why we introduced child-safe zippers on our inner bags, ensuring peace of mind for families with little ones. And for added durability, we made our bean bags dooble-layered (double-layered), providing extra strength and support.

Over the years, doob bean bags have found their way into countless homes, events and play areas with their vibrant colors and inviting shapes.

But our journey didn't stop there. We saw doob bean bags adorning the stylish interiors of hotels, resorts, and even beach bars, offering guests a touch of laid-back comfort in stunning settings.

Then came a surprising discovery. Therapists and educators began reaching out, sharing how our bean bags were being used in mainstream schools and specialised therapy centers to help students regulate their sensory needs and find calm. This revelation sparked a new passion for us - product innovation for well-being. 

We believe that comfort shouldn't be a privilege. That's why we design bean bags that promote both physical and mental well-being. From ergonomic shapes to weighted features that encourage relaxation, we aim to craft products that cater to everyone, including those on the neurodivergent spectrum.

 

This passion led to the creation of huggu, our newest furniture line. Designed with pressure therapy principles in mind, huggu offers a series of pieces specifically aimed at boosting calm and reducing anxiety. 

Our commitment to excellence has been recognised. We're proud recipients of the Made With Passion label in Singapore (2021), and our bean bags are included in the Made For Families initiative. Both acknowledge our dedication to quality and family-friendly design.

 

But comfort isn't the only thing that matters to us. We believe in giving back. That's why we actively support organisations advocating for mental health, disability, and children's well-being. Our sponsorships and collaborations translate into tangible resources and support for these communities.

Looking ahead, we're committed to sustainability. We have transitioned to recycled polyester and repurpose our production offcuts into delightful ReClaim Collection items. Because at doob, we believe that comfort and a healthy planet can go hand-in-hand.
