Outdoor

Engineered For The Elements.
Designed For Active Relaxation.

Whether it’s a high-rise balcony in the city or a poolside deck in the tropics, your outdoor space should be a sanctuary. doob outdoor bean bags are built with a "Flow-through Philosophy"—because in our climate, the ability to breathe and drain is the secret to lasting comfort.

Why Outdoor Does Not Mean Waterproof

A common mistake is thinking an outdoor bean bag should be waterproof. But a waterproof bag acts like a balloon—it traps air, making it stiff, and it traps humidity, which is a recipe for internal mould.

doob outdoor bags are designed to manage water, not just shield it.

Drainage: Water that enters via seams or fabric weave is guided out through intentional ventilation points

Ventilation: Airflow through our mesh inner bags allows the beans to dry out naturally

Durability: We use Coats Helios P thread—an industrial-grade, UV and chemical-resistant thread that won't rot or degrade.

RELAX SERIES

Designed for the sheltered outdoors. The DRYXX™ fabric features a water-repellent finish that helps the surface resist light splashes. While it is weather-ready, it is not a waterproof barrier; moisture may seep through the fabric and seams over time. To keep the colours vibrant, keep this series in the shade as the fabric is not UV-resistant.

THE SECRET STRENGTH: COATS HELIOS P™ THREAD

In outdoor furniture, the thread is often the first thing to fail. While standard threads rot under UV rays and pool chemicals, every doob outdoor bag is stitched with Coats Helios P™—a high-performance, 100% PTFE thread.

UV-Immune: Unlike polyester, it does not lose strength under the tropical sun.

Chemical-Resistant: Engineered to withstand constant exposure to chlorine and salt water.

ENHANCED HYGIENE WITH SPECO®

Every doob is treated with Speco®, an antimicrobial coating that provides a constant layer of invisible protection for your "third space".

Antimicrobial: A bonded layer that helps eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

Odour Control: Targets odour-causing microbes to help your bag stay fresh between cleans.

Added Resistance: In Singapore’s humid climate, Speco® provides a necessary layer of resistance to help inhibit mould growth.

Durable & Safe: Non-toxic and skin-safe, the coating bonds to the fabric fibres for long-lasting, 24/7 protection.

BUILT FROM THE INSIDE OUT: THE MESH INNER BAG

Every doob outdoor bag features a mesh inner bag. While others use cheap solid liners that trap moisture and "cook" the beans, our mesh is specifically chosen to facilitate maximum drainage and ventilation. It holds your beans securely while allowing the bag to breathe from the inside out.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

To prolong the life of your doob:

Keep it on Dry Ground: While our outdoor bags are designed for drainage, they work best when they aren't sitting in a puddle. After use (or rain), ensure they are kept on dry ground so the "Flow-through" tech can actually vent moisture out.

The Pool Rule: Yes, your doob can float! It’s a great poolside companion, but it is not a permanent pool fixture. Do not leave your bean bags floating in the pool. Prolonged exposure to chlorine and constant immersion can degrade the fabric and trap moisture inside. After a dip, move it to dry ground to air out.

Manage the Sun: To prevent fading and fabric degradation—especially for the Relax series—avoid leaving your bean bags in direct, baking sunlight when not in use.

Manage the Water: If your bag gets soaked, water will find its way through the seams or the weave. Simply tilt the bag to let excess water drain out from the ventilation points (the Batyline® strip or the fabric base).

Natural Wear: Like all performance gear, water-repellency can decrease over time due to natural wear and tear. Periodically cleaning your bag and keeping it dry will help maintain its protective properties.
